Sourdough in a Panasonic SD-YR2540

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a sourdough starter from Hobbs House Bakery. I’ve fed it, and used it for pancakes, but hadn’t tried making bread with it. I was planning to roll my sleeves up, and do a loaf by hand, but it didn’t happen, so I thought I’d give it a try by machine.

Review: The Baking Club

Several months ago Chris asked whether I’d be interested in reviewing a sample box he received from ‘The Baking Club’. As baking is a hobby for me, I was quite happy to take him up on that and, during his most recent visit, we cracked open the box to see what we’d find.

The box itself is sized to fit through a standard letterbox, and marks the ‘best before’ date for the dry ingredients included. The packaging appeared to be of a good quality and well-suited to the task of protecting its contents.

Hot Cross Bread & Butter Pudding

Easter is here, and if you buy/make too many hot cross buns, you may find them going a little stale by the end of the weekend. Don’t throw them away – they make a great bread and butter pudding.
