For foodies out there. I’ve been watching the Amazon Black Friday sales for sous vide kit, cos I thought it is just the kind of thing they would have.
At the moment, about half the coffee I am drinking is the Revelation blend from Union I wrote of earlier, and the other half are different blends I am getting through my subscription with The Coffee Roasters.
I’ve just been on holiday, and of course I took my Davy Crockett grill with me.
For the past month or so, I have been experimenting with coffee, following a purchase of a bean to cup machine. I must catch up sometime soon with the story of the machine and how I have gone from someone who hated coffee to someone who quite likes it.
A while back I refitted my larger Traeger pellet grill with a new home-built controller.
Easy Sweet and Sour Sauce
I became aware that many people use the CSG in a normal BBQ, and decided to give it a try. But I never did. I use a pellet grill, which would be switched off during this process (we are talking COLD smoking). The cardboard box was a vertical arrangement with ventilation by the tray and out the top. Would my pellet grill, which is more of a horizontal thing, have the same ventilation to keep the CSG smouldering? Should I enable the grill’s fan, or would that be too much?
I don’t drink a lot of coffee, but I do like the odd cup. Up to about 15 years ago, I didn’t drink it at all. I really disliked the taste as a drink, which was odd, as coffee flavour in a cake I loved.
Finally got around to the great BBQ spring cleanup. A simple enough job, but between illness and the weather, I hadn’t managed it.
While at the garden centre on Friday, I picked up a Firebox BBQ Pizza Oven for some silly money.
