Thinning carrots

My carrots have come on well, and are a dense thicket of growth. I’ve left it very late to thin them, and was concerned that in pulling up the carrots I want to thin, I’ll disturb the ones I want to grow.

So I was interested to read about a method of thinning carrots with scissors – simply cutting off the leafy part of any carrots I want to thin, leaving what is beneath the earth undisturbed. Sounds a lot easier that what I did last year, so I think I will give it a try.
